It was just a thought by Agatha, a young undergraduate student of the National Open University of Nigeria NOUN, that she can make a difference and transform her passion for broadcasting to reality and through that, raise talents.
The idea of having a show strikes Agatha and she determined to bring out the genuineness of her passion to the world while using the platform to showcase new talents.
In Nigeria, platforms like AY Show, Stand Up Nigeria, Alibaba Show and others have raised numerous talents in the country. Many thanks for the brain behind these project as they have shaped the entertainment industry and have put food on the table of many Nigerians who may have been outcasts.
In building up to similar successful stories, Agatha decided to call her friends, telling them about the initiative and a need for a collaborative effort to make it a reality.
Meeting people with similar ideas and those with the ability to support your ideas can be stressful and it was not different from Agatha’s own.
After many appeals with friends just to push the idea, she came across other friends who are also undergraduates of the same university she is.
In 2017, they brought up the idea of MBA Show, using the free platform to showcase their ideas.
Having a show isn’t an easy task, from the right personnel, the cost and getting sponsors for the show. Agatha admitted that it has not been easy because they have no sponsor and this has been a major challenge.
Building to this, the management of MBA Show has initiated the plan to host its first MBA Talent show this year. The event is set to hold on Easter Monday and it promised to be a talk of the town.
Line up for the event includes fashion parade, music talent, dance competition and more.
